Let’s see how this summer goes. LH is upgauging to the 346 next summer. I’m guessing they are seeing some of the traffic. I think BA is the next for the whale at DFW.

I thought they only had 4 pairs for LGA-DAL and 3 pairs for DCA-DAL VX successfully purchased 6 at LGA, 4 at DCA when AA-DL swapped LGA-DCA slots back in 2014. VS at ORD was extremely seasonal (leisure travelers vs. AA/BA and UA with premium traffic year round). Norwegian will probably pack this in summer, but off-season?

How is the flight direct to ORD? Those flying from Australia still have to change planes in AKL. Very true. Other than connecting dots and upgauging, ORD is limited due to lack of gates. But this plane may be the “sweet spot” in the short term, even though UA has shown no 787 love at ORD and limited 77W (even though HKG is screaming for it).

There was a time when the “el” would extend to a western terminal and eventualy to Woodfield or somewhere in Schaumburg.

There is no viability. Every airport in the US with over 1M passengers per month feels entitled to a TA flight, specifically LHR.
