Reality is that unless an A388 aftermarket develops, lease rates have to go up or sales prices have to come down neither of which is good for the line's prospects. IMO the best aftermarket for an off-lease EK A388 is EK. Not for the very early frames, but later builds. Way cheaper than getting fact...

Technically an Asia route, but an odd-ball one for NW was DFW-SFO-NRT after TG exited the market and before AA got the SP's. One could purchase flights on the domestic routes only. I don't think it lasted very long.

I've always been a big fan of Southwest, which I had the opportunity to fly twice this month (I'm admittedly not the most frequent of fliers). I've noticed some serious problems with Southwest customer service that I haven't seen before. For example, the front-line ground staff at LAX is abysmal .....
