We do this at PRC with our 200s. Many other line stations serviced by the Mormon Air Force also do this. We don't have Jetways or terminal-attached bridges, so as soon as we get the mobile boarding bridge, and other equipment out of the way, we have a whole ramp to play with.

Jump to postWould an ultra-durable decal be better than actually painting it, similar to how you might sign-write a vehicle with vinyl? Jump to postThanks for the insight. Is there ever a reason the avionics compartment would need to be accessed by crew mid-flight? Unlikely the will need to, but you never know when you will need to. Jump to postGreetings, wanted to see if anyone could spare some knowledge on what commercial aircraft have avionics bays, in what aircrafts is it accessible during flight, and are they normally pressurized.
Thanks for the insight
If I were in that situation of course I would reject, assuming I haven't hit V1 yet. Safety over all.
Jump to postSo it's basically a fuel vent sound. Lol, people can complain about any little sound. Even the a220's whale sound is getting some infamy. Personally I like it. As title states, just looking into info on the Delta Boston and JFK Gatwick flights, have not heard anything since the pandemic. They were set to launch Summer of 2020.
Jump to postI figured it was only a matter of time before this would be true, hope its for real. I would really like to see them launch a daily from ATL as well. It made me very happy to see too. I think the last time Delta served Athens year round from JFK was the 2011-2012 season. That is when they stopped A...
Jump to postSeems very interesting. Don't know anything though. They used one Lockheed Tristar L1011-500 operated by Yes Air Charter. Jump to postThanks for the responses guys! Follow up, on long-haul multiple-crew flights, what is the procedures for handling unexpected/emergency situations while the PIC/commander is in rest?
Jump to postWhen an airline schedules two captains to fly a route, does crew scheduling determine a PIC? If so how do they determine this? If not, how is PIC determined and at what point? If PIC is dictated by crew scheduling, can the crew change the PIC prior to, or on the day of the trip?
Thanks.
Wondering how major airlines create aircraft schedules. Say route planning wants it on routes x, y, and z, techops wants to do an engine swap within the month, another maint. group wants to install wifi that week, etc. How is all this prepared ensuring the aircraft isnt needed in multiple places at ...
Jump to postDoes anyone know what will take the place of the MD88 elevator fabrication shop in the Minneapolis TOC, it's quite a large area.

Jump to postWould DL be interested? They are the only one of the U.S. Big Three that do not operate the 77W. The 77W is a cargo carrying cash cow so I'd suspect it'd be profitable for them. Hey a.net,
I recently became aware of Delta Air Lines Delta Digest employee magazine. I found copies of a 2008-ish circulation on ebay but was wondering if it is still a thing today. If anyone could provide some information that would e much appreciated!
It's been a strategy both NW and Delta have used. I can speak more on the Delta side of things. Post 1970, Delta continues to invest loads of money into upkeeping and renewing older aircraft. I want to say the oldest -88 frame in the fleet now is about to turn 40.

Hey guys, I did not see a thread on this so I figured I'd post something.
