Interesting that Turkish Airlines already have a delivery schedule for 60 planes even if only 50 is firm at the moment if above is correct. I think this whole order is still "only" a commitment. The A321LR is a perfectly timed aircraft. I expect Airbus to continue to capitalize on it for years. Boeing is too little too late with the 737-10. Maybe the MoM will be successful on the upper end. The CFM Leap can't deliver the same max. thrust as the PW1100G, so if you want to get the most out of your A321NLR, you really need the PW engines. That being said, with today's PW engines your NEO LR is going nowhere... IMO, the A321NEO LR is a great concept, but it's not a B752 yet. :bored: Geez ...Jump to post

On a passing note I think that means NEO sales just passed 6000 frames.
Boeing's central challenge with MOM/NMA is to define a market position where the A321neo or a rewinged version thereof has trouble competing, the same way the MAX 9/10 have trouble competing with the A321neo today. The biggest MOM/NMA needs to be bigger than a reasonable A321 stretch; have better C...Jump to post

Over the vast majority of missions the difference is minimal and adding one more comfort seat row or not, has a bigger effect on CASM than the choice of the aircraft. They are basically the same the A321NEO and 737-10. Only minor differences are the A321s 4000NM (e.g.Trans Atlantic) capability, ava...Jump to post
Oh I am not disagreeing that the A321neo sold more. But using 85% of the current total order market share to make your point is a very misleading when one plane has been available 4-5 years longer than the other. Even an eventual 60:40 split annually is very different from 85:15. Fair enough. I did...Jump to post
I get the impression most people think the A320NEO family is smashing the 737MAX family at the moment. I completely disagree. The Max is roughly a year behind the NEO. 15 month behind in first flight. Sales per year brings it to approx 45/55 split. The Max10 only just launched. Max family sales wou...Jump to post

Only 332 orders in the year to end November is nowhere near par for course.
