Re: A310 - too early?

The global airline market is 4 times bigger now than when the A310 launched. The 250-350 seat max economy market was also highly contested with multiple aircraft. The 752, 753, A310, 762, 763 A300 and 763ER were all evenly spaced. For the A310 to sell 255 aircraft is brilliant. If an A310NEO was on...

Re: SAS looking for new long haul plane

I think SAS has already been experimenting with NB on the Atlantic (CPH - BOS / EWR). That could clear the way for considerably larger A321LR's. https://www.privatair.com/sites/default/files/content_files/images/Content_SAS_737-20C%2B60Y.jpg https://www.privatair.com/news/23032016-1025/privatair-co...

Re: SAS looking for new long haul plane

I think they will stay with their order of the A350's. If anything else. The A321LR, with a proper business cabin could maybe make sense on some thinner routes or to start new long-haul routes out of OSL perhaps. But then again there's Norwegian.............. Norwegian is going towards IAG or Ryana...

AZ should just close the shop, fire everybody (not like last time with 6 years on payroll by the govt/taxpayers money). The void would be occupied by some new healthy company, if not some other will try once again. Airitaly could be the first candidate.

Re: SAS looking for new long haul plane

Scandinavian charter carrier Novair used their new 221-seat A321NEO on non-stop OSL/ARN - Cape Verde this winter, 7hrs30min, impressive. A 180-195-seat A321LR in SAS config will be a great tool for long thin routes. I think the A359 will be too big for many routes and that SAS will take only 6-8 ai...

Bearing in mind too that AY and QF have an extensive and long-standing relation for trips via Asia - HEL is in fact a specific exclusion from the QF-EK JV. It's not an exclusion, it just doesn't fall within the scope of the JV because EK doesn't fly to HEL. It seems that QF is free to do what they ...
