Re: Via Air in trouble: majority of flights suspended

Update on fleet: Wow, I'm glad I was able to shoot all of these at CLT during their "good times", along with a couple of their EMB-120s. I had thought when they were in CLT it was the biggest mistake to compete against AA out of CLT. The local market isn't that big to the destinations the...

Link? Survey methodology and participant demographics? It was done by yougov with 1756 North American and European fliers. It's not a public poll; there won't be a link. Re: American is adding FNT-CLT flights

FNT-ORD will grow to 2xERJ, 2xCR7 this summer; AA pushes a lot of traffic to Florida over ORD. Per mlive, service to CLT will be 2xERJ. It’ll be interesting to see if this is all new capacity, or if AA’s shifting some capacity from ORD to CLT to handle the Florida traffic. Guess we'll have to wait ...

DL's hub at SLC has to be close to a fortress hub, no? SLC is, in fact, an MSA with half the population of CLT but with more O&D passengers. The fraction of O&D at SLC is much higher than at CLT. MSAs are irrelevant when discussing air travel markets. Do you really think the people in Odgen...

You also have the people factor. At a small station if 1-2 people can't make it in to work, it might hamper the operation enough that rotating the aircraft there would kill the rest of the day's operation for that aircraft.
