My couple of contributions, with example routes: --Best I can tell, Air France operates the A318 on AF1766 Paris-Florence through the end of the schedule. --Iran Air operates the A300 between Tehran and LHR. --A340-300 can be found with Air Tahiti Nui (though these will be gone in just a couple of ...

I Found this list off of Flightaware Believed to be airworthy list as of June 5 2016 5082 3C-QQU That list is much longer than the real list of airworthy Jetstars; for example 3C-QQU was scrapped over 10 years ago at TLS (fuselage departed TLS on a lorry in March 2005) In reply to another question:...

There is one in Los Vegas. I asked the FBO and they said it flies regularly. Hard to believe.

Do you have the tail number?

Any Active Lockheed L1329 Jetstars in 2017?

Good evening all. There hasn't bee a thread about the venerable Lockheed 1329-Jetstar on this site since 2012. This aircraft is VERY overlooked by many enthusiasts...Does anyone have a working knowledge of its ops? Are there any active flying versions of this 4-engined unique gas-guzzler? How many a...

Re: The Last 'Cowboy' Airlines: Everts Air, Kalitta charters, Ameristar, USAJet

I think you'll see them get more modern frames as time goes by, it's already starting to happen. Ameristar picked up a used MD-80s, Sierra Pacific picked up a used 735 to replace a 73S and is reportedly looking for another 735. I see the 737 Classic and early NGs as being the future backbone of the...

All the news about those 6 ex-RAF Tristars has fallen through.

Can we assume these aircraft will never fly again?
Where are they located? Who are they owned by?
Is there a remote chance they'll see anything AGL ever again?

The Last 'Cowboy' Airlines: Everts Air, Kalitta charters, Ameristar, USAJet

These are the 'last big 4' charter operations, all of them using particularly older aircraft, such as the DC9, Being 737-200, and Boeing 727-200. What's in store for these classic 'cowboy' airlines? Will more of these classic jets be acquired or retired? Will these aircraft run out of time? Is it ex...

OB-2059-P operated out of Brisbane on charter flights to Nauru in 2014 for a few months under the "Peruvian" callsign. Crews were American. Still seems somewhat active having done a charter to the Netherlands Antilles as well - they aren't a scrapping business. Interesting. Did you by any...

VP-BHS was stored in HEL from 5/2015 to 1/2017.

It was historical purchase, as no airline has bought ANY flying DC8 for some time. This adds to their two-strong fl...
