Interesting to see what 787 replacement turns out to be.

Nothing that can’t be covered by a A350/A330 combination as well as the benefits of eliminating a fleet type.

But, perhaps cheaper to extend existing leases I imagine.

A 787-10 on LHR-EWR will burn about 20% less fuel than a 777-200 for the same payload. For a similar payload on a 10 hour sector the A350-1000 burns around 10% less than a 777-200. Obviously the A350-1000 does have a bit more capacity. The A350-1000 burns about 10-15% less than the 77W for similar ...
