Greetings All,regarding QF's directorship speculation I recall that John Mullen at one time was Sir Peter Abels RHM at TNT (Ansett days?) From this position I believe he has done quite well in other organisations in management/directorship roles.Just a Thought. Cheers 325i.

Greetings again, had a bad night last night ,the neighbours dogs were restless,hence an error in my last post.
LH's 748 J class seating is 2 2 2 not 1 2 1 as stated. Got confused with the QF flight to LAX on the 380.

Greetings All, swed3120 mentioned that LH 748 J class is 2 3 2.
Flew LH ex Lax on the 748 and the seating was 1 2. 1.
Likewise ex LHR on UA's 772 to SFO was 1 2 1 as was the 773 ex SFO to SYD.
As an aside I preferred the Polaris seating to QF's new seats on the 380.

I can remember that to the right of the photograph there was an excellent viewing area.
It got quite congested at times!
They were the days when Alitalia, KLM,Lufthansa,Panam were regulars.

I thoroughly endorse everything you said about Qatars on board service.
Last flew with them late 2019 with flights on A380,B787 and A350's.
They make it difficult for one to fly with another airline.

Purely speculation on my part but assuming Squire Calhouns response to the reporters question "YES",is indicative of his inside knowledge of an airline that is heavily committed to BA's product, the real answer!

Not being pedantic but when AJ had a set to with the unions some time ago, they ceased flying for a short period.

I have had over 20 flights on QF's A380's(J class) and have never experienced what you were subjected to. If you want to experience a noisey flight by comparison try a B777.300ER, seat 7K on EK!
