Jump to postGreat trip report as always. I'm not a fan of the egg chasing game but the stadium is not the Emirates but Twickenham Rugby stadium . The smaller stadium in the background is another Rugby stadium called the stoop, home of Harlequins RFC
Jump to postRecently flew from STN to ACE on G-JZHZ (also named Jet2 Lanzarote). This had the airbridge dashes behind the cockpit windows but we departed from a remote stand and parked on a remote stand at ACE too. Ironic!!!!!
Jump to postAeromoe, you are the king of trip reports!! This one as excellent as always

Jump to postAlways excitied to fly on bac 1-11's from Gatwick on the annual family holidays in the early 80's . Especially as we always seemed to board via the rear air stairs with the APU screaming above your head

So sad to see Monarch go. Had many a good flight with them, the last one coming back from ACE in August. Staff always great and every flight was punctual. Special memories include seeing the 1-11's and 720B's blast out of Gatwick in the early 80's. Good luck to all the hard working staff in the futu...

The BA tridents had the 'moving map' between the pilot and copilot instrumentation. I don't believe the export tridents had these fitted
Jump to postExcellent trip report bringing back so many memories. My first flight as a 1 year old was on a Channel viscount from Southend to Guernsey (although I have no memory of that!!!!!!). Many 1-11 flights followed , usually dan air with a few BCAL and even Ryanair thrown in. Loved the 1-11, noisy both ins...
