I was talking to a co pilot and he said they were always pushing the envelope with the 757-300 to see how far they could send it. It was part of their strategy since they did not have a lot of WB planes and would have to use NB equipment on a particular route.

Uh, the guys up front learn on 152s and 172s. They may complain because it doesn't have a few extra bells and whistles, but I have not seen any of them sending their paychecks back because its an issue.

That is a lot of planes for most carriers. Even if you discount 100 of them as replacement; that still leaves you 125 and at utilization of 10 hrs per day, that means lots of cities served.

777X has 326 orders.

777 as a whole has 1.526 orders.

747-8/8F has 122 since 2005.
