If they order 15, but 10 are for replacement and 5 are for expansion, then it tells me its a Boeing order given their lack of interest in the 330. The sales force for Airbus better try and cut some more deals or they will lose this one.

Just more CO guys throwing shade about how they were the best, saved UA, and nothing can match their expertise. This from an airline that had to merge because in their own 10K filing they didn't have the money to pay for their planes from Boeing.

I thought the UA 757's were getting up there in high time and as such it was best to retire them rather than put additional resources into them. But, if fuel were to drop further, anything is possible.

I don't think that AA is not able to compete in the TPAC market, its just their 2 main competitors, UA and DL, thru PA and NW, have been there for over half a century. Wouldn't be so sure about that. UA ordered some A-320's in late 1980's. never got around to taking delivery and kept delay, delay. Almost 30 years later...they still havn't made it on the property.

Technically that is correct, there have not been any cancellations. But anyone outside of Stevie Wonder can see, not looking good for the plane being in UA colors.

Couple of points: 1) DL lowest of the 3 in NY at 4% with AA and UA at a minimum of double and triple that. DL has some serious work just to get up in the 'big league' on that one. 2) It's NEVER to late in the airline business. If UA wants to go back to JFK they can; just gonna cost them some big $$'...

How many daily enplanements are there in the SFO/IAH-MAD market? I would venture to guess not that many and certainly not business types, more leisure. The commitment of a plane in that market year round as opposed to a existing or new destination would have to be weighed.
