Fighters scrambled over airliner alarm

Hi, today I experienced for the first time in my life the effects of a sonic boom. Nothing to worry about but alarming at first glance, like two separate explosions that caused the glasses and doors vibrating hardly. From Italian ANSA website (ANSA) - Rome, March 22 - A loud bang heard by people in ...

Re: Photograph resizing issues

Exactly what Kaphias said. Pixels are pixels, PPI does just not apply when we see shots on a screen. It's the screen resolution that will determine how large you see a photo for a given (pixel) size. Back to topic. The interpolation method used in Photoshop for resizing can make a difference on the...

An Italian main newspaper reports that the aircraft was already on fire when crashd but the video doesn't seem to confirm it to me. I would bet on de-icing procedures. A similar accident occured al early 90s on a Romanian airliner which crashed a few minutes after take-off from Verona VRN. Weather w...

Bumpers for Lens - In Flight Photography

Hello all,
someone told me that there're bumpers to be installed on lens which turn to be very useful during in flight photography. You can press it on the window resulting in a more stable position.
Do you have experience with such tools?

Has the plane been escorted by military jets? It seems only over Swiss Airspace, but Italian main newspaper say have been intercepted by AMI jets over Sicily and taken over by the Frenchs later on.
