Re: LHR-CPT best options?

You guys are amazing! ET via ADD sounds more acceptable now, I guess my last question is whether a 50 minute layover is enough time transit through ADD? Seems a little tight, even at a good airport like Changi! You should be fine. I transitted MAD-ADD-JNB last year. The inbound flight was delayed, ...

Loganiair's service from WRY to PPW is 2.8km between two of the Orkney Islands in Scotland.

There's a 2:01 minute video of the whole flight here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q08N2b-FBng

Re: Do we dislike our national carriers?

As a Brit I despise BA... but this is not through familiarity. Having flown the airline 25 times and generally find the cabin crew mean and the seat pitch short. Personally, I don't think that people tend to hate their national airlines, just that European and North American flag carriers tend to be...

Re: LHR-CPT best options?

The BA flight to Cape Town is on a 747-400. My experience of BA 747s is pretty poor, particularly in economy. The cheapest way to get to Cape Town with an international connection is generally ET, EK or QR and on the right dates these can be found for under £500. I personally would avoid ET unless y...

Re: Airlines that serve Pepsi instead of Coca Cola

Egyptair serve Pepsi instead of Coke. In fact, if my memory serves correctly, Egypt is one of the few countries where Pepsi is the preferred Cola drink.

Re: Ever fly on the same plane twice?

As alrady mentioned, I guess if you fly with the same small airline, or the same route a number of times then this is going to happen. Particularly as some airlines will use the same 2-3 planes for a particular route (for example, Egyptair use SU-GDT almost on their CAI-LHR-CAI and CAI-DOH-CAI route...
