Never found delays out of New York for JetBlue to be worse than any other airline. Neither have people I know. On the other hand, that delta disaster, everyone knows about in my office.

Is aa fully utilizing its lga and JFK slots? Anecdotally, they seem to just be cutting a lot of flights while only adding a couple of flights to hubs.

I don't think selling the lie flats at under $600 is economically viable for the legacies, unless they can get a lot of customers paying more than that close to the flight. Also, airline still gets more money from selling 1 J at $1000 and 1 Y at $200 vs 2 Js at $600 if they can get the Y to use one...

they do have code share with Porter on the shorter east coast routes. Maybe they can try BOS/JFK to YYC/YVR/YEG. There is not much competition on these routes. There was a recent article about Ontario trying to get JetBlue to come back. I think that is quite likely.
And looking even further ahead if they add a321lr then lgw and dub in 2019. So I would imagine no new domestic city in 2019.

I wouldn't be surprised. The legacies have been raising the pay and the lcc have trouble finding new pilots unless they start offering more. They are running out of pilots.

Makes me wonder how long the regional model can go on while paying their pilots so little.

I don't know how much leg room for y class but they are definitely doing this because it's getting too easy for free upgrades. Rather than going to Delta route of selling more first class seats, they just reduce first class. Interesting.
