I just don't see JetBlue coming to IND. I think they missed their opportunity here. At least not to MCO or BOS. Have you seen their yield at EWR-ELL. Terrible. If they run a business of purely loosing money, go ahead. And who in NYC is going to fly to Caribbean with WN via FLL? Same folks that currently fly it via MIA with AA or ATL. With DL. VFR that want two free bags and most of those folks live in queens...

I listened to the entire earnings call and never got the sense they are not going to make an Europe announcement soon. They just said we are not announcing it today. So it’s probably going to be around th shareholders meeting as others have said.

The problem with adding other routes out of DAL for AS is that they will get killed in yields. They have lower yield than WN even to SEA/PDX while operating on OO. I don't see how SAN/SJC or WN strongholds like OAK/SMF could do better than that. Interesting enough, VX operated flights to LAX/SFO act...

That deal makes no sense! What was the carrot for AS? LGA and DCA slots are worth a lot of money. They could sell them to anyone...and had no need to “unload” them to WN. AS was using 4 slots at LGA B6 was using 2 of the 6 slots If that still holds true, B6 not only lost out on bidding for slots, but will actually have to cut 2 roundtrips to LGA. You don’t know that at all. Widebodies over the pond carry lots of cargo and generates money. I have seen their fare numbers and lf from BTS before and after mint, the yields are up 20 to 35% depending on the route while cost according to B6 is only up 6%. There is no market for anc to nrt. As for connection, we already have plenty of non stop option to Asia that are really cheap. Unless as wants to charge 400 a ticket from Seattle to Tokyo with a stopover in anc, they are not gaining any traction here.

Just curious because I have been thinking that IAD would be a great place for B6 to expand in the future since it seems from the outside to have room for growth. How much gate space is available in the main terminal? B6 already tried to build up IAD, remember? Didn't work out. It was back at a time...
