Re: Hainan to further grow US service; codeshare with AS + B6 in 2018

If China ever expands zone 1 frequencies, I can see HU start the following: PEK-PHL: Large Chinese population comparable to Houston's, not a single daily transpacific, lots of universities nearby PEK-SMF PEK-SAN PEK-ONT (We'll see how CI does first...) PEK-PDX There are large Chinese communities in...

Someone asked about adding slots at dca on dc area thread, which made me wonder about JFK and LGA.

With nextgen improvements, what's the chance we see JFK getting deslotted in 2018 or 2020? What is the chance LGA will get more slots per hour?

It may have more to do with giving SJC point-of-sale customers more options, in a bid for their loyalty on more profitable routes. But you're right. Those average EWR-SJC fares on AS are pretty bad. Q1 2017 was $183, and Q2 was $212. Quite awful based on these data points (although we need to see a...

Consistent with the direction AA is heading on the other 777s - MCE is about legroom, not seat width, and treated not as a true extra cabin but as a slightly more comfortable section of Y filled (in my experience) primarily with elites whose upgrades don't clear.
