So, basically BOS, JFK and Northeast to Florida. Not sure if Europe will last in the Fall. Overdue but necessary. I really do wish them the best. Re: JetBlue Network - 2024

Short answer: opportunity costs. The yields are better to other markets that are shorter in distance so you turn the aircraft around faster and make more money. That's why. those mint flights on BOS-SEA also use aircraft for the full day. There are domestic flights that don't do well. There are TAT...

Re: JetBlue Network - 2024

MKE vs MCI. WN makes MCI just lower yielding market. As for TATL, I'm not really sure why people keep harping on it. They are doing fine. it's the domestic florida stuff that really crashed when ULCCs loaded up on capacity there. And as you can see from the cuts, the west coast stuff were disastrous...

It’s out. Here’s what’s cut: While we always hate to see a market come off our route map, we have made the difficult decision to leave Bogotá (BOG); Quito (UIO); Lima (LIM) and Kansas City (MCI) on June 13. These markets are unprofitable and our aircraft time can be better utilized elsewhere. We wi...

Re: JetBlue/Spirit Merger Discussion thread - 2024 (merger plans terminated as of March 4)

B6 has already taken some steps to remedy controllable D0 by increasing turn times. The idea that you can take an A320 arriving in JFK from TPA and then turn it around to PBI in 40 minutes or less is just not possible. They had no slack in their schedule. If you look, you're seeing longer turn time...

We don't know much about the C919's efficiency, yet. However, as a tube with wings powered by LeapX fans, it should be in the same league as the A320N and B737M. Perhaps even a little better, since it's a new design. In any case, it's only natural that the scale should follow. For the moment, they'...

It is my belief that (and I speculate here) that the economy (failed RE companies, defaulted foreign debt) will force China to evaluate. Part cost is a function of purchase rate.
