Re: Difficult Taxiways

When it comes to airports which pilots deem difficult to approach and land the usual suspects are always listed. However, are their any airports where pilots dread or need to take extra care when maneuvering to/from gates (non-movement area) and to/from runways (taxiways/movement areas)? Yes. Nantu...

Re: Delta to ban pit bulls as service or emotional support

Pitt Bull are the sweetest and nicest dog breed. I was taking you seriously until you said this. Dogs, to me are the most annoying pets in the world. They bark, the leave presents everywhere, they beg for food. Yet I can actually back up the statement that Pit Bulls are actually very sweet dogs whe...

BWI-SFO seems to be a hole in their network, although WN flies BWI-SJC/OAK/SMF and AS and UA fly BWI-SFO already. NK is cutting BWI-OAK in November-ish. NKs exit may be WN's green light then. Re: Dallas says it has a plan to resolve Southwest-Delta fight for Love Field gates

I think other airlines gave it a try. DL actually flew ATL-DAL with CRJs back in the early 2000s, they left and came back in 2009 (via NW) with MEM-DAL flights, switching them to ATL not long after on RJs until the 56 seat rule was gone when they switched to mainline. Let's not forget that DL has b...

I wonder the same thing. I think there’s just an assumption on here that DL wants a bigger Texas presence and AUS is the logical place to do it. My last MD-88 experience on DL was great. It didn't work last time because Nashville wasn't what it is now. Also, why would B6 want a CS300 (which is sized between the E190 and A320) when they're looking for an E190 replacement? They need a plane of a similar size, it would be the CS100 not the 300. If B6 is not interested in the CS300, I believe that the E2-190/195 would be the best choice. The CS100 is...

Looking at videos of EK at FLL, it doesn't even use the full length of 10L as it stands now, so they'll be okay. Just because an aircraft doesn't use the full length of a runway in typical ops (which BTW, no scheduled service should be doing) doesn't mean that they don't have to develop their loads...

This seems like a bad time to do it with the bloodbath going on down there between WN, NK, and B6. Ways to avoid some capacity cuts would probably be upgauging where possible.
