American.
I was very loyal to United for years (DEN is my home airport), but AA commonly beats them on price, and is much better value when using rewards to book flights.
Plus - despite only being Gold on AA, I still got 3 upgrades on American last year. Never been close to an upgrade with United.
Another trip booked:
5/4. DEN-PHX. AA. A320.
5/4. PHX-LHR. AA. 772.
5/14. LHR-MIA. AA. 77W.
5/14. MIA-DEN. AA. A321.
The wife is incredulous, pointing out I can fly non-stop.
She doesn’t understand I just like air travel too much to take the boring option.
Only one trip currently booked:
1/31 DEN-DFW AA. A321
1/31 DFW-DSM. AA. A320
2/2 DSM-DFW. AA. A321.
2/2 DFW-DEN. AA. A321.
The Denver Post stated that the Aer Lingus flight will be seasonal, running through Oct 2024 while every other source stated it will be year round. Which is it? EI’s press release only confirms MSP as year round. It is silent on the Denver flight after summer 24. Fair to assume it will wait to see ...
Jump to postIn the UK I can think of DSA, which is Doncaster-Sheffield airport but everyone just says Doncaster. It's not even near Sheffield. It’s the only airport in the Sheffield City Region and more of its users would likely have be traveling to or from Sheffield (rather than the much smaller Doncaster). B...

Not yet done it, but living near a UA hub (DEN) I get these options presented a lot. Especially for 2 stop itineraries. Currently looking at a trip to BTV in May, and options include: DEN-RAP-ORD-BTV DEN-MSN-ORD-BTV DEN-BNA-EWR-BTV Where RAP, MSN, and BNA are not UA hubs. If I was flying for persona...

KLM still gives houses to J passengers . I remember in the 90's, SQ had gifts for F class, and I believe Asiana did as well. Usually they were small china wear. I recall gifts from my Concorde flights. Usually they were Lloyds of London Concorde Branded stuff. What other parting gifts do you recall...

I’ve never once noticed, nor cared about, what an FA is wearing or looks like.
I’ll never understand why to some, narrowbodies within the Continental US (coast to coast) or West Coast to Hawaii are acceptable. Put in a narrow body on a TPAC flight and some people lose their mind. 5, 6, or 7 hours is the same no matter what you’re doing. Why is TPAC so “special”?? Most people ...
Jump to postDSA. Hopefully closure can be averted, but it’s never come even close to its potential.

Because it sure looked like they were being exploited by the doc. Window dressing for the nut job conspiracy theories.
I could see Manchester and then a fifth freedom flight on to a star alliance hub in the U.S.

Continuing that tomorrow when I fly DEN-ORD-BTV.

10 A380 flights a day to Honolulu. With a fuel stop in Shannon so the pilots can buy Taytos.

Dublin is Gaelic for Blackpool.

how come Ethiopian is able to fly nonstop to São Paulo? Granted, the flight currently in the air from Addis Ababa to São Paulo is diverting to Kinshasa (ET506) The distance to GRU is much shorter than flights to the U.S. ADD-GRU is 5,360 nm. Jump to postFor those of us who log their flights (and who doesn’t), would you record that as a flight with Finnair (AY)? Or Eurowings Discover (4Y)?
I’ve never had to face that issue in my log.
Still haven’t been able to fly on an A350.
I had to cancel one trip that would have involved one. But I’ve now had three separate A350 flights switched over to 777’s by various airlines. The latest being BA.
Booked my first ever trip to Vermont (all Feb):
United B757-3. DEN-ORD
United A319. ORD-BTV
United E170. BTV-EWR (operated by Republic)
United B737-9. EWR-DEN
CLT is a pretty unique market. It is very well located near the center of the US population (not geographic, but population), like Atlanta. Unlike Atlanta, it does not have a great local market. A couple banks is about it and the population is relatively small. That may be the case for Charlotte, b...
Jump to postLAS more likely. They have Disneyland in Paris, why bother to go to MCO. So I’ll stick with that.

June:
UA. DEN-LHR. 787-9
BA. LHR-DEN. 777-2

DEN-DSM
DEN-SLC

I wonder how much one of those sells for? Earlier this year the TSA allocated $781.2 million for the purchase and maintenance of “469 base and 469 full size” units. I’m not sure what the distinction is between base and full size, but that gives you some idea. https://www.tsa.gov/news/press/releases...

It doesn’t seem to save time. But the good news is the lines for the screens are generally not too long. Obviously that may differ from airport to airport.
Correct - The paper form is no longer handed out.
When you land you’ll make those disclosures on a biometric touch screen.
You then go through immigration and customs as you would have done on previous trips.
The ICAO 4 digit code for LIT always produces a school boy snigger.
Don’t touch it.

Jump to postFree bags are a selling point for WN.
And judging by the amount of people in zone 2 on my recent United flights, a significant number of United passengers have a United credit card so aren’t paying to check bags.
