Re: Nashville Aviation Thread - 2019

That is because RDU was within the range of a 752, and it was pretty successful actually. It is now on a 763 and is daily or near daily year round (I believe it may be 5x week or so in the very slow winter months). But we have to remember RDU has had TATL service since 1994 and is a bit bigger and ...

It comes back in the fall though with an A220 as of right now. I'm all for B6 jumping in on JFK-DTW. Maybe then DL will boost it to mainline altogether. I've said it before, and I hold true to my opinion that the lack of mainline on this route is highly inappropriate for hub to hub flying. This wil...

I’m curious what additional international adds we’ll see in BOS... I won't assume that intl adds from BOS will be TATL. They cover the obvious spots given fleet (and fleet on order). I don't see them copying the 2000s strategy of CO from EWR and trying tertiary airports from BOS. (BOS-BRS! hah hah)...

I see a lot of things debated here, thought this might help: 767-300ER retirements from 2025-2030, but really want to retire them earlier than that so they don’t have to do a cabin refurb. Re: Delta A220 route additions

Honestly surprised that DL hasn't deployed them to EYW yet. Could it make the return trip to ATL with a full load compared to the weight restricted 73G's? Unlikely to happen, as ATL is likely to be one of the last hubs to see the A220. I'd expect ATL-EYW to end up on a 175 sooner or later, rather t...

What makes DL so strong in BNA is the proximity to ATL and the hourly flight. its so easy to get in and out of BNA tacking on the 38 min flight is a no brainer to be able to get to anywhere in the world mostly one stop. (Occasionally 2 stops for smaller cities or deep asia).

Keeping the fingers crossed that DL will take the 787 think it could be a good compliment.
