I seriously doubt it would ever happen. AA is gate constrained at LAX and it also views LAX as it's gateway to the Pacific which is where you will see future expansion. This has been discussed many times. Just because it was marketed as a P2P plane, it's not really being used that way. It's basically a spoke to hub aircraft. From MCT, Europe is not that close, but they can still use it.

FlyDubai does give accessibility to smaller cities, especially in the old CIS countries and eastern Europe. That connectivity went away when the moved. When someone convinces me DWC will be built out, i'd say a hookup will work.
