Re: Air France Us expansion

it would be nice if AF started MSY service. It'd also be completely out of character for AF in the USA. AF doesn't serve medium-hub airports, and for the most part, their typical markets have at least triple the kind of throughput that MSY handles; exceptions being IAD (split operation with diploma...

Re: The MSY thread - 2018

This was posted on the local spotters group page here at MSY, and figured I would share it here. https://scontent-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/30226822_10109002029772205_1748353376564805632_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=ca272d331193fec54a2eb858ef70c96d&oe=5B63224D The OP highlighted some interesting n...

Re: The MSY Thread - 2017

Might be too obvious and I'm missing it, but looking at the numbers all of the US3 carriers have dropped significantly on the express side in MSY, but growing as a system meaning much more mainline service. Is that happening every where else or only in a few growing markets?

YYZ seems to be pretty solid, not sure why YUL isn't already happening.

Re: The MSY Thread - 2017

Something else to consider about MSY's growth is that a MSY was in a growth spurt prior to Katrina. MSY showed growth the previous two years with 2004 being a record year. 2005 was on pace to be another record year and cross 10 million pax. Msy didn't cross that threshold until 2015. Katrina hindere...

Re: DL add IND-CDG

Keeping in mind that population is a fairly mediocre indicator of air traffic demand, here are the metro areas greater than 1.2 million without transatlantic service. For reference I also included (in italics) metros of this range which have recently started or had announced new transatlantic fligh...

Re: The MSY Thread - 2017

I have a question. The MSY Wiki page says that Armstrong international is a focus city for Allegiant. Is this so, and if so when did this happen. I haven't seen anything else calling MSY a focus city for them.

Re: Four men arrested after police uncover alleged plot to bomb Middle East bound aircraft from Sydney

Where did I say that? You have created a strawman argument. In America the FBI not only radicalises them but finds the kids struggling with money and no job and moulds them into potential terrorists even if none of them ever say the words about wanting to plan attacks they just go along with them. ...

Re: When will Nashville (BNA) get a non-stop flight to Europe?

This has sadly degraded into the usual middle cities fighting each other why they deserve non-stop service to Europe. I will make this easy and resolve this for ALL of you. None of your cities have enough premium demand for legacy carriers so no BA, no AA, no DL. You will probably all get service i...

Re: Unserved markets in the US.

[quote="Northwest1988"]Hello all, What are some of the unserved markets in the US, particularly in the lower 48 that have no commercial airline service? They may have been served in the past but airlines may have terminated the destination. With the ULCC airlines swooping in to cities like...

Re: Pax denied boarding for showing too much cleavage or was for being intoxicated...

Here's another article on the subject from the Daily Mail. The top doesn't look particularly revealing and the airline stated that the she was bothering other passengers.
