Significant ruling on the Israeli end. The courts in the USA would make the same ruling as well. This is not insignificant for LY as NYC to TLV is 1/3 of their traffic. Now hopefully soon, LY will be allowed to fly on Saturday and major Jewish holidays.

Lion Air also has A330-300s in a Y440 configuration (these replaced 747s for hajj flights). PAL also has its A330s in 9-abreast (Y414 for the single-class ones). That said, I'm surprised that AirAsia X can't sell J class seats on these frames and pay only 8 flight attendants instead of 9.

The obvious choice to me might be to tap into the partnership with Aer Lingus and perhaps take over or augment EI's services to DUB and SNN. Maybe even ORY or LIS (taking over some days from TAP Portugal) could be a possibility with the right European partners on the other end, Aer Lingus in Ireland...
