Re: Amedeo looks to set up airline to utilize A380s

Given how many airports can take the 747 but not the A380, I would wonder if the market limitations would cause issues, especially given that Hi Fly or Hi Fly Malta intends to enter the A380 ACMI business soon...likely flying hajj charters with them. Re: Is AA going to cancel their A350 order?

Since there likely won't be a PHL-NRT or PHL-any point in the Orient anytime soon, the A350 makes no sense. It would make more sense to order the A330-900neo or the Boeing 787-10 as a Boeing 767 and Boeing 777-200ER replacement. Routes from DFW and LAX that need the B777-200ER range can be switched ...

To add to my previous post, I do expect the Boeing 787-9 to eventually take over transcon services to and from EWR, if not the Boeing 787-10 or a mix thereof. As United has only 16 Boeing 767-400ERs, all at EWR, I don't see enough of them available to perform transcon services.

Re: What Will Replace UA's 777-200A Aircraft?

Afaik, the 19 UA 77As will be replaced by 38 739s. It's the sad truth. There is the problem of flying them into congested airports like SFO and EWR, which may not have the available slots. Hence why the bigger planes are used. Trans-con flying requires at least an international product to be compet...

Any chance that any of these will be A321LRs or have Delta One seats (to replace the ex-TWA B757s)? As DL plans 197 seats on them, chances are that all exits will be activated.
