LATAM A320 severely damaged by hail and turbulence during thunderstorm while approaching ASU

Last night (26/10), a LATAM A320 (CC-BAZ) operating flight LA1325 SCL-ASU had to divert to IGU because of thunderstorms around ASU. After staying for three hours on the ground at IGU, the captain decided to complete the flight to ASU, trying to avoid crew mandatory rest time. Despite deviating north...

I've been researching ITA's fleet wearing the new livery, and it turns out they've been repainting their planes at an astounding speed, considering the livery was introduced in October 2021, less than ten months ago! Out of a fleet of 57, 31 aircraft are already wearing the sleek blue livery, meanin...

Doubt insurance or lessors matter. Airlines operate out of war/chaos zones (look at recent Afghan flights) regularly. Heck up the road Somalia largely a no man's land has had ongoing air service for years, while fractious locations like Libya receive air service also. That's a good point. If I reme...

The first smell I remember from my early childhood is from the cabin of the TAM Fokker 100s I flew back in the mid-2000s. It was basically a very strong leather-like odor, as the seats had grey leather upholstery. Much to my dismay, they changed it to fabric later on.

I recently noted that PTY is a rather evident absence in LATAM's huge network. It isn't served from neither LIM, BOG or SCL.
