AWW I see I thought they were in talks to expand to NRT so Jal will go first any ideas when>? My question would be why? JAL and AA have a joint venture and AA offers a great deal of Asia service from LAX which is geographically positioned nicely to serve PHX. You could probably fill a plane 3x week...Jump to post
Amazing that people wil nitpick any detail to try and denigrate United. Most also forget that United is exposed to exponentially more ATC delays due to their operations in EWR, SFO, and ORD. Even on days that a GDP may not be in place, ATC uses TBFM and metering to manage traffic into these airports...Jump to post
Plot twist: The 25 175s end up going to Air Wisconsin. That is just complete theory but they REALLY need new aircraft and they just started their JSA with United again with just CRJ-200s. ZW also just broke ground on a brand new 30,000sq ft hangar in ATW with and additional 8000sq ft of office spac...Jump to post
This order makes no sense. They can’t place a majority of these frames at any US major, unless.... United is set to announce a new narrowbody order that will unlock their ability to add additional 175.Jump to post
Interesting that 25 E175 count matches the 25 CR7 that GoJet fly's for UAX Interesting It’s been rumored for awhile that GoJet would lose their United flying. With the recent rumors and inuendo that United would be investing in or purchasing ExpressJet, I wouldn’t at all be surprised to see them st...Jump to post
Since UA has already announced that it was the UFO for the 4 787s, I don't think they'll be announcing or ordering any more 787s replacement aircrafts for their 767s during this airshow. Seems unlikely to announce the same aircraft type order at two different time within a week hence it concludes m...Jump to post
Those numbers are pre-E-175 fuel burn improvement package. E-175 fuel burn has increased by 6.4% since those figures https://www.embraercommercialaviation.com/news/first-production-e175-fuel-burn-improvements/ Also, the CRJ-700 is a smaller airplane than the E-175, AA puts 76 seats on an E-175 vs 6...Jump to post

Thanks for the quick responses! I assume they wouldn't have returned to LAX but landed someplace closer had this been on the 777 they also have on this route? Yes. FARs require an immediate diversion to nearest suitable airport if you encounter a degraded engine. Of course a 747 has more than two e...Jump to post

Why? Are the airframes closing in on their hours/cycles fatigue limits?
Allegedly mechanics and ramp employees are impacting operational performance angered by slow pace of negotiations. Issues seem worst at Chicago and Dallas. For the first 4-months of 2018, AA has the lowest on-time performance among the US3. Unions deny any connection to labor talks as such slow dow...Jump to post
For me, the question is one of current day reality over future promises. Is the A321 that much better than what the B797 will bring to the table taking into account the missions UAL would be using them for? I suspect that both manufacturers will make purchasing them very easy and cheap in an attemp...Jump to post
Thanks moderator. It is sad when somebody immediately comes on a thread, blasting the OP. I saw no reason to change the title. We all knew what it was about. I spell Delta Airlines with one word all the time. Probably will keep doing so. But Delta Air Lines does not spell it that way. If you know t...Jump to post

It appears that Airbus and United are in continued talks about a possible order for 321LR and/or 330’s. No doubt the 321LR seems to be the only logical replacement for the 757s available at this time. While this doesn’t necessarily mean an order will be made, there is some more information that we h...Jump to post
I really don't find Southwest to be any cheaper than the legacies. It seems often they're more expensive than a legacy. I've lived in two large WN cities(STL and PHX) and have never found them to be the cheapest. I rarely check bags flying domestically so that is of little value to me. That being s...Jump to post
Interesting with what they perceive as “value.” They are often the same price if not more expensive than legacy carriers and offer less. Free bags only get you so far.Jump to post
UA’s Next New Thing? 1. Finish what it has started - completing all aspects of the Polaris rollout - energizing and re-engaging the workforce - improving the passenger experience 2. Eh. Rocket launches don’t cause delays. They just close the AR routes off the coast and cause flights to be routed inland. If by delays they mean the few minutes it added to each flight then I guess but this is really a non story.Jump to post
Here’s the first photos of United premium plus. I also like the IFE upgrades in economy, looks like the same new screen throughout.

Really limits the airplane to an operator already flying the CRJ
Looks like Delta has no preference when it comes to 76-seat aircraft, opting to order 20 CRJ900 with a new interior design. It states these jets are replacements. Other articles note that the aircraft will only be fitted with 70 seats. This makes them likely replacements for crj700s. Due to scope cl...Jump to post
