Amazing that people wil nitpick any detail to try and denigrate United. Most also forget that United is exposed to exponentially more ATC delays due to their operations in EWR, SFO, and ORD. Even on days that a GDP may not be in place, ATC uses TBFM and metering to manage traffic into these airports...

This order makes no sense. They can’t place a majority of these frames at any US major, unless.... United is set to announce a new narrowbody order that will unlock their ability to add additional 175.

Those numbers are pre-E-175 fuel burn improvement package. Why? Are the airframes closing in on their hours/cycles fatigue limits?

They’re hangar queens. The reliability of the 757 and 767 fleet is not good. The 753 fleet is especially bad.

Eh. Rocket launches don’t cause delays. They just close the AR routes off the coast and cause flights to be routed inland. If by delays they mean the few minutes it added to each flight then I guess but this is really a non story.

Earlier this year, United reduced capacity on GUM-NRT to three 737s down from two 777s and one 737.

They are restoring 777 service to the two morning flights as the evening flight remains a 737.
