Scott Kirby forecasts growth 4-6% each year for the next three years. Wall Street hates that... stock was up 3.5% and is now down 3%.
Basic Economy passengers will now be able to select seat assignments for a small fee when they purchase their ticket.

[photoid][/photoid] I'm all for transparency but I'm more for actually proactively fixing problems and running an on-time operation. I was one of US Airways' biggest haters because of how often they left me in a jam, but I will say that they were very detailed when announcing a delay. Usually unnece...Jump to post

Any chance for mainline on IAH-MAF? The demand is there with Oil, and the Embraers are consistently full. In addition to UA serving MAF nonstop from IAH, WN also has nonstop service from HOU to MAF, and WN operates its HOU-MAF nonstops on 737-700 planes with 143 seats. And you didn't answer the que...Jump to post

When landing south, DCA has high minimums.... you only have an RNP approach (which not all aircraft can do) or you have an LDA approach but with higher minimums. With this situation you will have a lower arrival rate which drives holding if excess inventory is airborne.Jump to post
I guess DL has reconfigured all 82 CRJ700 by now into the 69-seat layout, where an additional four Y seats were added by pushing the aft lavatory into the aft cargo hold. Does the reduced aft cargo hold still have room for all baggage on all flights or do they have to actively keep the CR7 away fro...Jump to post

I could so easily envision my old company putting their executives in PE on 9+ hour flights and treating Polaris like it was First Class!
Nobody noticed that UA added SFO-BDL? That was a long-awaited route. We'll be checking if it is a red eye with a morning arrival, or a day flight. I like what UA is doing at SFO. It’s not new. It operates seasonally. They stared it this last year. Was a red-eye eastbound and early morning departure...Jump to post

Quick question: If the passenger made a change on her phone app, then why didn't the gate agent tell her to pull up her phone app just to verify if indeed a change was made and that it accurately reflected what the agent was seeing? A passenger showed up claiming to have a reservation for a first c...Jump to post
This story is nonsense. Passenger was downgraded and immediately compensated with a 500 dollar voucher. There is no problem here or failure. This is a case of an individual trying to take advantage of the situation. Wow you are so biased. This women booked a first class seat and deserves one. Unite...Jump to post

Interesting development... it seems they feel this is a necessary move after the Airbus/Bombardier deal. Will it pay off? Who knows... but it would get them into the regional jet market. Seems as tho this would be very tough to get regulatory approval from the Brazilian Government. https://www.wsj.c...Jump to post

Bingo. The right frequency is one that makes money. As a non ORD based AA EXP, I avoid it like the plague. Horrible airport to connect in. I could see ORD continuing to be right sized for o&d.. and connections routed to less trainwrecky hubs What makes is so bad for you? Honestly just curious. ...Jump to post
