High operating costs and the unlikely ability to command yields to offset. Same reason you don’t see LCC/ULCC from the US operating into Canada. The costs are high.

I'll reask the question, what does UA get out of merging with B6 that they want? FLL is not a southern hub, it's a Florida/Caribbean/Latin America hub. Nice to have, but worth $10 billion when IAH exists as an ok substitute, not to mention the Caribbean and Latin American coverage from EWR and IAD?...

I've been reading that these are to begin to replace older planes, but no mention of what. Does anyone have an idea? Is this to replace 77A's or more older 763's? These decisions are really helping Southwest solidify their own position in the market. Southwest went from the original no-frills airline to the airline that won't sacrifice comfort or flexibility for price. It's really fascinating. In the end, I think there is a case for an airline like Southwest...

The latest crew resources update from Friday stated that Network Planning are expected to announce the specific routes for the 787-10 prior to the next vacancy bid which is due out mid-October...so we should hear more information on the routing of these aircraft around that time.

Well what do you think? Southwest has retired all the -300s so its certainly not a flight of theirs. Also, there is no scheduled service from PWM-KEF so its likely being sold to another operator.

I’ve also noticed in the past few months on UA 737s my texting via iMessage works, I also wonder if that’s some kind of test. It doesn’t work on the Airbus.

E175E2 is too heavy for scope clause and the extra row vs. E175 pushes it over 76 seats. I wouldn't be surprised if part of the scope update that's being asked for allow E175-E2 at UAX. Someday those E175-E1s are going to need to be replaced and I doubt the company's going to want to do that with C...

The preferred 737 for OGG is the 73Q which is the -800 STOL model. United prohibits the 73Y (738 regular model) 73C(900 non-er) and the 37K/73L which are the 739ers. The 73X which is the Max is approved.

And yes, the reasonings are performance issues.
