Re: JetBlue Orders 60 Airbus A220-300

The Question is whether the A220 will become etops certified. Or is it already?

UA2734 B788 FTW-IAD?

United currently has a 787-8 in the air heading to KFTW (Fort Worth) from KIAD (Washington Dulles). Does anyone know why, I don’t think it would be a charter?

Are there any more orders for the -8 or -9? If not will a base be closed and EWR would be replacing it?

Re: jetBlue in Atlanta

The only way that Atlanta could be expanded is if they B6 expands mint and ATL gets a flight to LAX, SFO, SEA. B6 could probably sustain two a day to SFO and LAX and one to SEA. LAX/ SFO can be a morning and an evening flight, with SEA just getting an evening one

How long until new aircraft used on oceanic flights.

I noticed that United’s newest 787 is doing domestic turns for the next few days. The aircraft has the capability to do much more, but is there some testing or requirements before the aircraft can do a longer flight or one over water?

Crew rest for aircraft sitting on the ground for 8+ hours

United has a flight to GRU where a 787 sits for around 12 hours. Due to the sit being more than eight hours, do they use the same crew for the return trip, or is there a crew change.

Re: B6 Weighs LGB Changes

I personally think LGB could be a good hub for West Coast operations. If they add a PHX, and a DEN along with seasonal winter routes and then flights such as ABQ being seasonal during the summer. LGB can become profitable as transcon flights leave JFK at around 12 arrive at LGB around 9:30 and then ...

Actually WN is starting Saturday only flights to PHX, taking full advantage of the Permineter Rule

The PHX route is pretty impressive, other than Aruba (Delta and United) most airlines take advantage of the perimeter rule clause regarding saturday

B6 can run an operation likeable to SJU, so they can run on new opportunities, but not cut LGB routes

Re: JetBlue | Full Service Carrier transition ?

This is slightly unrelated but I see a Hawaiian and Jetblue merger happening in the near future especially due to Hawaiin’s order of A321s. This would make their route heavily concentrated on the East Coast of the US and routes from the west coast to Hawaii. Due to this there will be a lot of growth...

Re: Will B6 Ever Restart JFK-BNA?

We are likely to see more teams on routes as mint continues to grow. Due to this I see LAX or SFO slowly becoming focus cities as they are connected to other destinations across America on the East Coast.

These additions are great, but I think B6 needs to start mid-day flights to airports such as SLC, DEN, PHX, PDX, and SEA.

Re: F9/NK 320neo

Most low cost airlines fly their aircraft where ever they are needed and there is no set aircraft (registration) that flies only one route. Due to this, the new Neo's are flying around the continental United States, since I don't think they would put them on international flights just yet.

JetBlue ORH (Worcester) Plans?

Hello, It has been said that JetBlue has new plans about service to ORH, I personally think they are adding a flight to either JFK or LAX. An addition to JFK is self-explanatory, but LAX is a possibility especially when you think about the BUF-LAX route. I am curious what your opinions are on this. ...

Use of A320s on Carribean and Mexican flights from the U.S

I am curious why airlines such as American and Delta use A320 aircraft to fly routes to their Carribean and Mexican destinations from their east coast hubs. Why do they not use their Boeing aircraft, since the A320 can do transcons like the 737, and they are close to similar aircraft when it comes t...

1) When it comes to JetBlue crew scheduling does anyone know if flight crews that work a four hour leg like JFK-DEN do they layover due to them timing out, or do they dead-head back home? 2) There are flights scheduled to San Salvador on JetBlue and they are not open to passengers, and are not on th...
