Re: Airline's first pure-jet routes

I think that you should give up on this topic because you obviously don't know what your talking about! Have you ever heard of the De Havilland DH 106 Comet! BOAC inaugurated the worlds first pure jetliner flight with the DH 106 Comet registration number G-AYLP on the 02 May 1952 scheduled from Lon...

Re: Airline's first pure-jet routes

In 1920s and 1930s, there was only one company- United Aircraft Corporation which included both present day Boeing and United. I guess it must be the first US airline to fly on its own metal .. That doesn't really answer the question posed by the OP does it because there were, NO PROP JETS AND NO P...

Re: Any new low cost carriers to MIA?

Jetblue would be unlikely, as they would essentially be competing with the operation they have at FLL. Personally I feel you’d see an A380 in B6 colors faster. Don't see why B6 can't offer 4 flight s to JFK and 4 flights to BOS. My understanding is people in Miami HATE driving up to FLL...those poo...

Actually, the 3rd incarnation of Braniff lasted from 1930-1982

How close and loud was it, especially in the 727 / DC-9 era.
