MIA has unveiled it's long term capital improvement plan. Among many improvements, this will eventually extend a taxiway that will eliminate the famous holes. Agreed - have lived here for 25 years and just found out about it last year. It's amazing. I think it's only been there about 3 years MKE has two viewing areas around its perimeter and the top level of the parking garage is decent as well. I've been to the one on Layton Ave...where's the other one?...

MSP has an outdoor viewing area literally in the middle of the airfield, at the intersection of two runways and on the taxiway to a third. It’s really excellent. Agreed - have lived here for 25 years and just found out about it last year. It's amazing. I think it's only been there about 3 years MKE...

The other thing with leisure travelers, particularly from DTW, is that if the destination is within a full one-day drive, it becomes much harder for a cost conscious traveler to fly, especially if they are traveling with others. Richmond is borderline, but still a long, but doable full one-day driv...

A very very very VERY very VERY very very very VERY very very VERY very VERY very very good source told a bunch of us that Spirit was very close to starting SRQ last year. They went with JAX instead..so I'm hoping for this year.

Not sure WHY regionals are included, they basically do what the majors tell them, don't they? I don't know if it's true, but their is a lot of speculation on this site that Delta shoves it's delays onto it's regionals

Some odd DL Charter related activity at SRQ last night. DL8883 (757 N668DN) arrived from MCO around 7pm, and then took off to ATL at 9:30. DL8890 ( 757 N6703D) arrived from MEM arrived at 11:15pm, and it appears to be sitting at SRQ as of this afternoon with a scheduled departure to Syracuse within...

I have a few questions 1. The 3 days I was there...the UPS aircraft landed on 17L and taxied all the way over to their area which is waaaaaaay on the other side of the airport. Why not use 18R 2. While I was there, the BA 744 would always use 17R. Is that normal? 18L is a lot closer. HOPING TO GO BA...
