SFO back then, BA, LH, KE, ANA, JL. SQ, AF and Aeroflot, Mexicana, AM, Taca, China airlines.. I don't think KLM or Virgin Atlantic or cathay had started yet. I am sure I am missing a couple, but close.

historically probably DL/NW at NRT but likely not any more. Probably as high as 12 or 13 at once.

Easy place to connect. Efficient airport. I like both EVA and China Airlines. China Airlines is underrated From NOrth America a great connection point to Asia, however not enough routes from North America, SEA, YVR, SFO, LAX, ONT, IAH, ORD, JFK is about it. If I remember, AA at least announced if not flew, SJC - TPE for a year or so in the early 90's. Different times, but SJC always seems to ride business cycles hard so wouldn't last an economic down turn for sure,.

Having lived in the bay area for a long time. All 3 airports are strongly subject to economics booms and busts. We have been in a boom the past few years and all these flight have been added at all 3 airports. When the downturn comes(and I hope not soon) going to see a lot of these flights disappear...

I would say in some ways today is the glory days. It is just that the glory is in business and first class. Showers, full suites, lie flat seats and more. The old days didn't compare to the product offered today in first and business class.

I think that a good part of the problem is the pictures being taken with the lighting dim. If the picture was taken in brighter light it would definitely look better.

I would expect these would go on higher revenue flights long term than primarily focused out of DTW which is nothing like ATL or JFK for attracting business fliers.
