If you want them to accept the stats that include connecting traffic then why won't you accept the one that shows a truer demand and does not include connection traffic. That is what the airlines care about. They can put connecting traffic about anywhere but they need the O&D (non connecting tra...Jump to post
SY seems to be growing a fair bit! First adds at PDX now BNA? Nice. Hopefully a flight linking the two someday soon. I always saw SY as being cut from the same cloth as Sunwing to the north—primarily operating from cold northern cities to sun destinations. Well they just did add Madison, WI and to ...Jump to post

They're ripe markets for a ULCC though, especially MSY and MCO.
Guess wait and see how SWA responds. I am curious also but 2x a week probably isn't going to make them flinch much. They have brand recognition and I would guess most people that aren't into aviation don't really have a clue who Sun Country is (outside of MSP and some other markets). Hopefully Sun ...Jump to post

That narrows it down then. I'll stick with Sun Country because I said it first but this is TATL time so that wouldn't surprise me.
If this is international, it is likely going to be FI or WW to KEF. Doug mentioned earlier this year that Nashville is "fairly close" to landing an Iceland flight. https://www.bizjournals.com/nashville/news/2018/02/27/with-the-west-coast-conquered-and-london-on-the.html Alternatively, it ...Jump to post
13 minute interview with Rhonda. CPE now under $10 (which is what you want to be under) to $9.90 and should continue to drop. Lots of other financial talk. enrila's weekly OAG update shows F9 adding some frequency to DEN, LAS, PHL, MCO, RSW, and TTN but I thought those were already announced. Can't see MNAA making a special announcement over that. BNA has an announcement at 10am tomorrow. I have a feeling it could be WS to YVR. Probably F9 related, they have had a string of 10am announcements dating back to last week. But I may be wrong Currently its between WestJet, Frontier, Allegiant, or Aer Lingus. Any more guesses? I think Sun Country e...Jump to post

Agreed. WN needs to focus on making BNA their flagship station in the southeast. It makes no sense trying to build up ATL because of the humongous DL hub. I would maintain what they have at ATL, but focus all future growth (especially in connections) in the southeast at BNA. I believe the expansion...Jump to post

Ok, I have a theory I want to share. Now, this is based 100 percent on observation and I very well could be wrong. So, Alaska dropping IND-SFO before SFO-MCI/ABQ/RDU/BNA is kind of a surprise to me. All below is different from August so could just be seasonal changes. I didn't do a September spreadsheet last year so I can't compare. MSP also goes all mainline on DL. DTW goes all RJ. Updated my September frequency spreadsheet for all airlines. Not much to note except that BLV will be lower than last year from G4. Not running JAX or FLL this winter.
