Just announced today, the same guy that setup JetBlue is launching a new US LCC. They have ordered 60 CS300 aircraft. If the airline actually comes to fruition, I would imagine we could see this airline in some Ohio airports. http://montrealgazette.com/business/local-business/aerospace/jetblue-spin...Jump to post
Not sure I have seen this before.
Flights 17 hours delayed from the day before. Not cancelled. SFO-STL

Landing yesterday morning, I saw what looked like an all white 757 (could only see the back 1/4 of the fuselage and tail) parked under the white open hangar on the Boeing part of the field, just North of 12L/30R. Anyone know what it is? I looked through arrivals and couldn't find anything. Do not r...Jump to post
Can someone possibly explain better to me what this is all about? And what it means if anything for the airport.

It's been a while since I've been in E or T2, but could the biggest problem for *major* SW growth be baggage and ticketing check/in areas, followed in a distant third by security lanes? What say you local STL peeps? They have plenty of security lanes. They just added another one. 7 now I think. Tic...Jump to post

As I transfer at ATL today, I was surprised to see stone artworks from Africa in the tunnel between A and T. Why Africa? Seems like there should be something to show Atlanta. I did not have time to venture to the other concourses. Do the other tunnels have art from other places? Does it progress to...Jump to post
Since the article says "exciting new domestic and international" that narrows it down to a domestic airline since they are the only ones that can fly domestic. Why not a domestic and a international carrier?? Nothing states it has to be just one airline. I considered that but it said anno...Jump to post

Random thing I found. WN is currently running a 10:55 to PHX. This has to be the latest scheduled flight they have had out of STL. I can't remember anything later than that. On top of that they are running it out of E31. I am a little surprised they are running it right next to the WOW flight (which...Jump to post

While I generally agree, my most recent E175 flight on Compass was about the most uncomfortable flight I've ever been on. Zero legroom. Crew was great, though. Interesting. I think I have only been on a Skywest ones so far (united). I have a Republic (Delta) one coming up in about a month though. I...Jump to post
True, but re Q400 v E175, the E175 is clearly, empirically, a better passenger experience. It's not just reputation. QX E175s have first class, have premium, have wifi/free texting, fly faster and higher, are quieter and have larger overhead bins. They're much better planes to fly in. I would rathe...Jump to post
I was curious on how many people went through STL a day compared to other airports, so I messaged them and asked. They responded with “Approximately 40,000 people go through STL a day”. Which is much more than I would have thought, BNA tweeted that they have about 20K on a normal day. I did not thi...Jump to post

As for the future, they already operate MSY and the seemingly-promised LGA ship may have sailed, at least for now. I think they're the leading candidate for the SAN service CMH wants and could see MCI added. LAX might be a bit crowded with DL and AA, but maybe all three could coexist on the route? ...Jump to post

At least in the USA, imo: This is a little simplified but for the most part seems to be true: Full service- has First/business class seats (not counting some 50 seat RJS) LCC - Only coach but the coach services are pretty much the same as coach services on full service airlines. ULCC - pay extra for...Jump to post

Had this question so I figured this topic would be just as good as making a new one.
Do any airlines still let you listen on board through their system? I know some used to. United as mentioned first, I remember listening to it while landing in a storm in Denver.
Northwest of the current runwys. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-44357580 There's a plan a bit down the page. B6 will enter cvg when the time is right. It’s just very slow at introducing new stations. It’s not nk or f9. Delta only makes good money on about 5 routes out of Boston. Cmh and cvg are both on that list. Hard to see b6 not announcing to enter one of these two markets in the next year or so to mak...Jump to post

Updated Frequency spreadsheet for July. (new total) Nothing super major on this one. WN does hit 800 weekly departures for the first time the last 2 weeks of June. Just my opinion is UA needs to quit running so many 135/45s. I hate those planes and they run a ton to my home airport (STL). Some routes it is all they run even with 4 and 5 frequencies a day. Indeed, I'm trying to figure it out too. My guess is that some of these slots were subleased by AS already, and perhaps WN has to wait for those to end before resuming use of these slots they just bought? Or perhaps WN was already subleasing some of those slots and bought them all. Technically STL ...Jump to post

Why hasn't WN added RIC-MDW or RIC-LAS nonstop service yet? Greater Richmond is the 2nd largest U.S. metro area (after Greater Milwaukee) that has never had nonstop service to MDW on WN.
