If there is any place that will have a carbon tax of fuel within the lifespan of a new airframe, it'll be the EU. Having an exceptionally fuel-efficient aircraft may well pay for having a sub fleet.

As I understand it, flight attendants only get paid for the time the aircraft doors are closed to when they open. Is there an advantage to this for the workers? I don't see one, but it seems to continuously get re-ratified.

As someone who had to be rebooked 3 times since the grounding, I want Thu join the AS employee love-fest.
