He certainly did a fantastic job at QR. I loved how he always tried to improve QR's economy class versus create a premium economy cabin. With the new CEO coming onboard it will be interesting to see how QR will change.

Surprised if they choose DFW over IAH, I know DFW has more of a India population than Houston, but Houston has the Star Alliance connections that Air India can use. I can see Indians using this service with pride, the Indian economy is really taking off.

Off topic UA recently also served Cancun from Austin and MSY. Delta served many cities that weren't their hubs to LHR or AMS/CDG due to their ties with VS, KL, and AF. This was like a joint venture. Be nice to see UA serve Italy from IAH.

There are some routes that got suspended due to the pandemic and haven't come back. Off the top of my head there's AUH/DOH, DUR, CHS, MRU, SEZ, MCO, YYC and some Windies routes (ANA, BGI, UVF). It seems like the Widebody plans will park at the end of the gates just like in Terminal E and gates closer to the center of the airport will be for narrow body. I wonder if they can park a widebody closer to the airport, though this might not allow narrow bodies to park at the gates next to it, and...

Air India and PIA both serve YYZ and offer plenty of one stop options to smaller cities in both countries. Though I prefer a Euro, Asian, or Middle Eastern Carrier over PIA or Air India due to quality and reliability.
