Re: Original Eastern to HNL?

Interesting they tired to get to HNL but apparently it never worked out prior to shutting down the airline. They even had bag tags printed for the service. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/560AAOSwmQNi8di-/s-l1600.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/8vgAAOSwrQNi8di-/s-l1600.jpg

Re: Original Eastern to HNL?

Found an interesting article and think I recall they did special frequent flyer charters to attract business. Don't think HNL was a schedule service but something added in 1990 to attract business flyers and reward them with special flights to Hawaii. https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/fl-xpm-1990-08...

Yea the aircraft was spotless! Of course it was in showroom condition especially for an air show but imagine they also had a lot of time to prepare with little activity through COVID. Hopefully the program will pick up some momentum and get back to help folks around the world.

Did some research and wondering if anyone can comment the differences with the MD-10? It appears it's a DC-10 converted to an MD-11 digital flight deck and 2 person crew. Are there any other differences outside of the cockpit? The outside looks like a DC-10 (no winglets) and of course the cockpit is...
