Re: MHV photography

dutchspotter1 - Just had a look at Google Earth, I took the L1011 shot just north of the intersection of Sabovich and Avtel (which is a dead end street). I think it has been many years since you could take shots of the boneyard non-airside. There used to be a lot of planes stored on the westside of ...

Re: MHV photography

You used to be able to get driven around MHV, Javier was a well-known guy, once he left it wasn't long before the airside access did the same. MHV is now a very unfriendly airport with regards to photography - there are signs posted on the perimeter fences, saying that photography is illegal. I had ...

That's a nice image, dig the fall colors. For me it was finally getting a chance to shoot the McDonnell 220 biz jet. Ever since Nick shot it before 9/11 I've wanted to see it, I finally had my chance this past spring, we flew TRM-IGM-GYR-ELP where we stated for the night, before heading on to ROW (a...

Re: Does the 787 actually fly any point to point routes?

This thread is a dumpster fire. People who believe in the 787 and its mission-statement are providing plenty of details, people that dislike the 787 (maybe the 787 was mean to them when they were young?) are saying those aren't valid examples. I don't think anyone (with a reasonable outlook) expects...

f/8 creates sufficient depth of field that, given the composure (and I use that term lightly) of your image everything would be in focus. Great shot! Love the angle and the light. It doesn't look to be overexposed per se, but it does seem overly bright. I would knock the whole exposure back 1/3 of a stop and go from there.

No reason a shot like that shouldn't be in the database, common or not.
