United announced it’s Denver expansion cities this morning: Asheville Lexington Dayton Greensboro Montego Bay San Juan All larger markets that EVV, FWA or SBN. No surprise. I think SBN-IAD would make more sense than DEN for expansion. Local United folks want both but EWR was popular out of SBN but ...

I can't site any specific reasons for the increase on the Minneapolis flights. All I can say is that from personal experience, the last five tickets I've purchased out of South Bend going east or west has me going through Minneapolis for the lower priced fare.

SBN Traffic Figures for this past August. Passengers were balking at the higher airfares this summer over last and there probably was a bunch of leakage to Midway to fly on much cheaper WN. That helps to explain why the November flights I have been looking at on DL out of SBN are priced ridiculously high! How unfortunate and what a sad state of what DL has become in SBN.

UA flies multiple times a day from SBN-ORD and that's just over 100 miles by car. I've flown it many times before and it's about 20 minutes wheels up to wheels down.
