Re: Best handling aircraft? And worst?

From time to time you hear stories about which aircraft pilots like - and dislike, from a handling viewpoint. Some might fly very well, but are a bit of a handful on landings (MD11, for example); some might be a bit slow on departure on climbout, but very pleasant to fly otherwise (A340). Others, l...

The 747 for sure. Probably the smoothest ride out there although I hear the A380 is just as good or better. I haven't had a chance to ride on the A380. The A380 is considerably more comfortable to fly on, even for non-aviation geeks like us. It isn't even close. Anyone who'd prefer a 747 over an A3...

I know both their -8 and -9 use the Trent 1000 engines, but are the issues affecting every variant of the Trent 1000, or just a subset thereof? And in the case of the latter, are all BA's 787 fleet affected or just a subset?

Thanks.

BA are a good option to SFO as one of their flight pairs is on the A380, which is probably the most comfortable plane to fly on. To my knowledge, most carriers now unbundle the seat allocation cost from their most basic fares, so you will have to pay to assign seats more than 24 hours in advance. Ed...
