Re: Photographer(s) Feedback on the new site

It seems from my recent experience that images are being re-sized & compressed upon upload. I added 5 each set at 1024px on the longest side yet they were all interpolated to 1280px on longest side. It also seems the opportunity to remove the awful compression applied at upload has been missed i...

Thanks for the reply Mick. It would be good to receive an update as to how the developers get on with reducing the compression, if not removing it completely, in due course.

I am aware that this subject has been raised previously in both this and the Site Related forums, albeit never to a conclusion it seems. Two of my recent uploads were rejected for Quality & Soft, the 'original' file sizes when the images left my pc were 440kb and 512kb respectively. The 'same' i...

RE: MAN Runway Use?

Thanks Karl, very interesting.

Does the 380 use 05 R for departure? If it uses 05 R out of hours for landing I'm now wondering what it does for departure?

I guess this must all be down to taxi ways and the route to its stand.

RE: MAN Runway Use?

Looking at tomorrows forecast they will be using 05 Right and Left. The early arrivals will come in on 05Right which is great for photography - then at sometime during the morning (perhaps 10am?) they will switch to 05 Left. The 380 will therefore land on 05 Left and will depart on 05 Left. Hope thi...

Would echo what's been said the 1 series is streets ahead of the other dslr's canon produces. I bought a MK4 earlier in the year and then added a 7D as a back up body only to sell it 2 months later as it is poor in comparison to both the MK4 and MK3.
