Jump to postI’ve found that airfares between the USA and Mexico have become very expensive. The exception to this is flights to SJD, PVR and CUN.
I used to be able to easily find roundtrips between SFO and MEX for around $200 on both UA and AM but these days you’re lucky to see anything under $500.
It’s not an equivalent market. Think of Canada, USA, Mexico, Central America and the Carribean creating a single aviation market. Volaris or Viva Aerobus is now allowed to fly from LAX to DEN using Mexican crews on Mexican wages. That’s the equivalent of Ryanair in the European market.
