Could we see the A330neo as the true A343 replacement, instead of the A359? It all depends on whether the NEO could do most of what PR needs it to do, and that the price delta between it and say, a regular weight (HGW not required for U.S. west coast/continental EU) variant A359 justifies the lower...

One issue with the A330Neo is the short-term benefit with the low purchase price - which is even questionable against the B787 - is the only fact-based reason supporting it. Then the rest is unknown, meaning mainly the fuel price, and the higher that goes, the less attractive operating the A330Neo ...
