It looks like the right hand engine may have taken quite an impact. No fan blades & the engine was running as the passengers were exiting
with sparks from the rear. The fusilage looks fully intact at the point of the vid showing the above before the fire took hold.

The A340-500/600 only sold 524 production engines, and that was a whole new type. Exactly, that's why I said, maybe a minimum-change variant. The T7000 would be just about perfect. Back during development, they were hoping the A380 would use current A330 engines anyway so seems to come full circle....

I flew on a Easyjet A319 a couple of years back & it seemed very spritely compared to my usual Ryanair B737-800
flights. I`d suggest the power-to-weight-ratio would be pretty good judging by the take-off & probably as nimble as
