Door plugs have an actual window since there is a seated passenger there. Doors have a smaller window (like on the photo). This type of window probably has a name but I don't know it.

In Europe at airports without airbridges are more common than in the US and all airlines use stairs front and often rear door too. It goes without saying. At some airports, Ryannair uses airbridges and no rear stairs like at BCN. FR is known for cutting costs and I wonder why they use bridges there....

The European equivalent of SNA-EWR doesn't seem to exist. On continental Europe the closest I found is FAO-HEL, non-stop A321 flights (3,480km).
