I think the problem is all SFO, LAX, MIA flights have to take off towards the water due to hot and heavy conditions and clearance issues. We will take off sue North eventually. Short flight Westbound today 9:45 hrs.

IST What a mess!!! Doors closed on TK1 one hour ago, still on tarmac. No word from the cockpit. Weather not bad. Winds 14Knots from SW, visibility 10km. Broken clouds at 4000 and 10,000 feet :(

Looking at my flight log of all time Top Ten airports:
-IST is at number 1 with 189 flights
-JFK is at number 2 with 171 flights
-LGA is at number 5 with 66 flights
-EWR is at number 7 with 44 flights.

Interestingly, TKs first A321neo will be registered as TC-LSA. The rest will probably be TC-LSB and so on. C'mon TK... surely Dublin-Istanbul can be upgraded to an A321 (or even an A330) by now! Still-air distance ESB-SYD is around 250nm further than LAX-SIN. Around the same as PER-LHR. An hour shorter than SIN-EWR. I do not understand this; for years TK bragged about being the number 1 European airline.... and such awarded by Skytrax, now TK looks like a sour loser with this announcement. We all knew to take Skytrax awards lightly but TK did not. Why this sudden flip??
