Re: The Future of Virgin brands in commercial aviation

To be fair the Virgin Atlantic brand is probably one of the most modern and relevant right now. In the UK at least the association with RB is not as focussed as it was before they went hand in hand. The big billboard titles were a brilliant change, the refitted 747’s are extremely good in any class ...

Virgin Atlantic bought ex-Air Berlin A332? I thought they were short-term leases with their respective owners (Nomura Babcock & Brown, DVB Bank, and BCI of Chicago). That is what I understand as well. Seems weird to have a sub-fleet of only four A332. Without wanting to cause a thread drift, th...

It’s probably scheduled to be an A321 but you never know until you’re on the plane, all manner of things could happen between now and then.

Also in future use flightmapper (link below) a good source for finding what aircraft is scheduled

Will be interesting to see what would happen with the short haul frames also. The new A321’s would be good for existing IAG airlines but unless they keep the DY short haul operation as it is, I’m interested to see the 737’s and the max’s as IAG is firmly Airbus now when it comes to short haul

And why can’t the aircraft on the Irish register be used in, obviously they aren’t affected by brexit in this issue.

You can see the benefits of them keeping one type at MAN and LGW, however like a lot of others, i can’t see this happening, simply due to the capacity decrease of the leisure routes, particularly MCO and LAS which are 95-100% full from the start of the summer schedule to the end. 330’s just aren’t e...
