In my case I live in and fly out of PHX but if I want to go to BDL (Family in the Hartford area) I can only do so by flying thru DFW or another AA hub. So a lot of the traffic is connecting.

As someone who owns and enjoys many firearms and carries quite frequently in AZ, I normally dont put any firearms in anything I am taking with me to travel. I still go thru any luggage and or carry-on items to ensure there is nothing that shouldn't be in the bag in there. Pure stupidity on his part.
