At this point, the 15 A330-200s that AA parked are around 12 years old, not that old at all. And with supplier issues, will probably take 18 months to return to service. Wonder if Airbus is willing to sharpen the pencil for AS in this situation as I believe that the main sticking point in AS keeping the A320 fleet was leasing costs of the in service fleet plus the orders while it wasn't going to be cheap to order the aircraft outright either.

Where on earth is your source for this? B6 dropped handling HA in JFK years ago and never touched them in BOS. Never seen an airline merger justified over 1-2 stations being ground handled before! I didn’t realize that B6 handling ceased and did not realize that BOS wasn’t ever handled for HA by B6...
