Telly Savalas used the money he was paid from the 007 film to buy a pub / hotel not far from where I grew up in the UK. Some of his family members would run it for him. I used to go there weekly and, although I can't remember meeting him, all those that told me they had said he was a lovely fella.

In all seriousness, almost anything EXCEPT boxers. Dangly bits dangling with no support I find so uncomfortable and sweaty. Also very easy to "trap a bollock" when rearranging yourself on a chair.

I think it's more an issue of managing a country that spreads a continent, while simultaneously not having the resources to do so. Russia has a relatively small population and huge natural resources. They just decided to spread the wealth of those resources amongst a chosen few (such as Abramovich).

The US doesn't even display the real price of items at a convenience store so why would anyone expect them to do it for car hire or hotels?

The first time I discovered that I couldn't buy 99c worth of food for $1 in a US shop (way back in the 80s) I knew that I was in a really weird country.

"Thank god for that" and "O god" have both been used by me, mostly in the past. They are just figures of speech, for me at least.
