Re: JAL 737 Replacement

The Japanese Domestic market is definitely taking a sway towards Airbus with NH and their subsidiary LCCs flocking the way of Airbus. I don't know what that means for the future of spares in Japan but the only 737 operators who aren't JL/NH leave Skymark, Solaseed, AirDo, and Spring Airlines Japan. ...

Re: What is the cheapest flight you have ever taken?

Cheapest overall would have been the odd $30~ I spent RT on Avelo between BUR-OGD/MFR. Just last week though I did recently fly on a $270 RT potentially error fare sold by American Airlines on an LAX-HEL RT ticket. I say potentially as the fare division did show the base fare as 1 dollar. However th...

Just two. Both from Philippine Airlines on their Airbus A340-300 but I am happy to say I flew on both LAX-MNL instead of the 30 or so minute later T7 flight and the now stuck in purgatory for being relaunched, CEB-LAX direct flight.

Re: Was the Boeing 737, the aircraft you have flown on, most often?

Definitely not for me. I've only flown on the 737 eight times. With four coming from two round trips on Avelo. It'd be alot of counting with the A320 family but it most definitely usurps the 737 to my flying history! Then again I can thank Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and JetBlue for this. Alt...

Why Mexican specifically? Can't any Spanish-speaking person suffice? Airline callsigns are often not real words to be found in a dictionary or are mashups or abbreviations of locally-understood terms, so some local knowledge can often be useful in a situation like this. Okay, I have to weigh in on this one just because I do think I have one or two interesting ones. Boeing 727-100 and 200 (I stuck my head into the gear wells of both as they sat next to each other.
