Re: Fresno Aviation Thread - 2019

FAT's modular customs building definitely needs to be replaced. The number of flights has outgrown capacity in the FIS. But the building is probably better than what SJC travelers endured for many years during the AA hub days. SJC's old FIS was small and cramped. It was also remote from the terminal...

Re: Fresno Aviation Thread - 2019

The City Council will review the new fiscal year budget for the airport on Monday. In the budget, FAT estimates in fiscal year 2020 it will handle 2,033,600 passengers. Fiscal year 2019 ending on June 30 is projected by the airport to see 1,888,200 passengers. So an estimated 7.7% growth for FY2020 ...

Re: Hawaiian being forced out of LAX terminal

The BIG question mark - and I'm sure the dealbreaker, unless I'm corrected by someone on here - is whether or not the I.E. demographics can support and sustain Hawaiian service from ONT. The IE sends a large number of visitors to Hawaii. From the Hawaii 2017 Visitor Statistics, table #19 (2018 has ...

I missed the flex up to 9.9 hours/day/aircraft in March. Having a much more reliable fleet (younger, better maintenance plan vs. break then fix). If we take January utilization as more typical, or 7.07 hours, I'll round to 7, then buying used makes sense. However, there must be a subset of G4 lines...

Looks like FAT-ORD goes from A319 to E75L. That's quite a haul in an E75L. But once again FAT loses mainline UA. Hopefully that changes again soon. Given the flight was to end in December, even a 175 is a plus prior to Mainline returning in the spring. UA is adding a 320 to DEN as well (announced s...

GK additional 500 aircraft is misleading. It's more like WN will increase it's order by another 500 aircraft by taking in to account that they will in 2023 start a massive retirement schedule for the NG700's. In theory this will give WN a typical slow growth rate of additional 240 planes by 2030. O...
