HP used Aeroman, and US continued the practice.

They wouldnt sent them to SAL to be retired, they would go to GYR, MZJ, ROS,or MHV.

Maybe Delta should pay for the time they lied about the weather when employees were forced to sleep on the floor for days and how they lied to the employees, public and media when it was an IT meltdown and lost their crews for days

Here we go again. There is no 757 line, the tooling and machinery have all been destroyed and other plane lines were put in its place. The plane is not technologically advanced anymore like the newer generation of planes. And airlines are retiring them due to their age, not extending their lives any...

The flight wouldnt have been dispatch if minor maintenance wasnt available.

And under certain circumstances MCU will give the pilot a verbal MEL depending on what the issue was and the flight would still be dispatched.

Guess you havent heard of oncall maintenance? More flights go to a non-maintenance station then a maintenance station in the US airline industry. On call maintenance means there isn't a mechanic working for the airline meeting the plane. It doesn't mean there is no maintenance support available at ...

There wouldnt be a fly away kit placed onboard, one it takes up cargo space, two you dont know what thousands of parts on an airplane that would break.

Three SJU probably has a routine supply or Delta parts there for such occasions.

A mechanic is not needed to sign the logbook off as this would only happen if the plane broke and the pilot wrote something up. And does DL even staff maintenance at SJU?

Plenty of vendors and other airlines.

SJU isnt an ETOPS flight, its an EOW.

Colonial has a second pipeline from Lake Charles, LA they can use to feed CLT, my friend works for them.

Also a bigger problem is the second largest refinery in the US is in Houston and it has shutdown and will be down for at least two weeks.

Ultimately I think the AA widebody fleet will consist of A350-900, 787-8,9 and maybe an order for the -10, the 772/3. The system crashed, DL in internal memos acknowledged that.

And it doesnt take five days to recover.

Hate to tell you this but DL was severely short on crews yesterday and was pulling FAs off of international flights to staff domestic.

Those are facts.

The same storm system came through CLT, AA had no issues except the normal ones.

I know plenty of crews at DL and they all stated the system crashed, you had FAs in airports for almost two days with no hotels.

DL couldnt find their crews, as the scheduling system failed.

We had the same storm system come through CLT, did you see this happen to AA? Nope, and CLT is the second largest hub in the AA system. DL lied, their crew scheduling system failed, its slowly leaking out. DL lied so they blamed it on weather so they wouldnt have to compensate all stranded passengers.

This hanger is to do line maintenance work, as the planes sit for an extended time between flights.

It will be staffed with foreign based AA mechanics, no outsourcing, not job loss.

Just like AA has maintenance in LHR, FRA and other foreign cities.

the 767 used to park on C6 all the time, and yes we have parked A330s and 767s on C even gates in the past before.

C6 was used for a lot of domestic 767s flights.

Why should it get moved when MU is government controlled and the government is not willing to give AA viable slots so it could benefit MU and DL which the Chinese government has a stake in MU?

CLT was so designed to use widebodies, before D-con was built the FRA went out of C6, I worked international in CLT in Maintenance, we could put widebodies on D1, and have then also on D2, D3 and D4. Then they expanded D-con and added the backside and the end. Many gates on C and B can hold a widebo...
