Re: US Airspace Reallocation

I think CVG will reach class B criteria again within the next decade given the growth of Amazon and DHL. Pax will be at 5 million enplaned by 2019 and aircraft movements are rapidly growing. CVG did increase last year, to 150,000 operations. Do you think it will double any time soon? Even if Amazon...

I've noticed some of the busiest airports in the US are class C airports, some of them are even busier than a few class B airports. DHL is opening office space in the old Comair headquarters, looks like they are taking 3 floors. It also says that they are planning on more expansion. According to this article, Atlas Air plans on ordering some more B747-8F's. With rising fuel prices, I would imagine many of the 747-400's will be replaced by 777's/748's. Not surprisingly, AeroLogic has been operating quite a few flights out of CVG recently. https://www.bloomberg.com/amp/news/artic...

CVG-CDG is doable with the 75S during the Spring/Summer schedule, but it would have trouble in the winter eastbound, likely blocking off seats. I'm guessing this would be seasonal.
