Are there any bilaterals in place which were preventing TK from increasing traffic without LO's agreement? Yes. Only those two airlines are designated to operate this route and every increase in capacity has to be mutually agreed to. Was it not for the bilateral TK would probably already be flying ...

LO and TK agreed on increasing frequency on the WAW-IST route.
LO will go from 5x weekly to 12x weekly on E195.
TK will go from 5x to 6x weekly, one of the frequencies could be flown on B777.
Could some closer cooperation (JV?) be in the works?

LOT signed a codeshare agreement with Air China on the WAW-PEK route. LOT flies this route 3x weekly, Air China up to 4x weekly.

If Italy denies BA access to LIN, Im pretty sure that any Italian carrier will be denied access to LCY and LHR. For example BA cannot fly from LON to LGA and DCA, are US carriers banned from LHR? TK, SU, LY cannot fly to LIN and Alitalia isn’t denied access to airports in Istanbul, Moscow or Tel-Av...

After building MXP Italians wanted to limit LIN to domestic flights only, but this would be against EU competition rules so nowadays only flights intra-EU are allowed.

I understand the importance of LCA-BRU for Cyprus but why is Strasbourg - Prague a PSO route? There are some EU institutions in Strasbourg but only like 3 other EU capitals are connected to SXB year round, so why Prague?

We should also have in mind that currently LO doesn’t serve any markets in the UK other than LON, it doesn’t fly to Ireland at all.

I would say that before launching routes such as BUD-LCY LOT should focus on feeding their hub by connecting WAW to MAN, BHX, EDI, DUB.

Starting in January 2019 LO will fly 12x weekly from WAW to LCY with E190 (LO will be getting 4 new E190’s).

Are there any other airlines which have E170 + E175 + E190 + E195 in their fleet?

I was surprised to see that Alitalia flies from Athens to Tel Aviv. Israel offering incentives to airlines is probably a factor, but this market is already well served by Aegan and El Al. What are the reasons behind this flight?

The current codeshare is only for WAW-SIN via various gateways in Europe. I guess SIA will put their code on LO's flight, but not much more than that.

SIA has a JV with LH, so I am not quite sure if they will be willing to feed LO, similar to why there is very limited co-operation between LO and Air China / ANA.

Because of the night curfew in WAW the plane sits in SIN for 7 hours. Maybe LO could add a tag-on to CGK or DPS...?

Starting May 15th LO will fly its Dreamliners WAW-SIN 3x weekly, to be increased to 4x weekly from October 2018. Well timed for connections via the WAW hub.

I am a bit surprised that LH takes over LGW. On which routes will they put the Bombardiers? I thought that LH was done with turboprops. Will they fly for Austrian or Brussels?

Are there any destinations where Belgian AOC would make it harder to get rights to fly from Germany? Or will they use the SN planes only to fly to destinations where it wouldn’t be an issues (USA for example)?
