Interesting discussion
Please allow the village idiot to jump in with some probably dumb questions.

WRT warranty -- what is the usual warranty on a commercial jet engine?
Would these birds have "power by the hour" programs? If so, wouldn't that imply serviceability?

Your post triggered the thought that perhaps some of the technology used to convert fighter jets into target drones might be of value/use.. I'm also sure that single-pilot ops would save FedEx a bundle.

Most assessments such as this come with a proviso that scores within, say, 3 points difference are not statistically significant. I do not think that 80 and 79 reach statistical significance. It is good news that 3 airlines intending good service stand well above the rest. Well said, a 1 point diff...

This is yet another argument for PI-based airlines to move more flights to CRK (the old Clark Airbase) as there is plenty of capacity there and a huge benefit to not dumping passengers in the middle of Manila.

The FBI today announced that it is giving up the search for D B Cooper, the famous hijacker from the 1970's who bailed out the rear boarding ladder of a Northwest 727 somewhere over Oregon. Even in VN, the use of caves by the bad guys was problematic. Then, we (the E-models) could act as a stable laser platform for the fast movers to use when dropping smart munitions. This development now means there is a good single-aircraft solution with minimal loiter time.

I'm not sure this is a valid question. Firstly, no airport controls the type or manufacturer of aircraft that use its facilities. Either the aircraft's operating parameters align with the airport or not. i.e. You cannot schedule a 747 or 380 operations onto a dirt strip. Secondly, even if by some wi...
